QIs there additional counseling or additional fee to receive interview training?
ANo. The cost of Roah Consulting includes interview training as well as grad school essay counseling. For counseling session time, services include how to write essays, what school to apply to, what topics of the essay are, what to do, practice interviews, etc.
QIs it a one-on-one counseling?
AYes, of course. This is one of the merits of Roah Consulting. My office in Aoyama is within 20 minutes by train from almost everywhere in central Tokyo. I also have many clients outside of Tokyo that I support through Skype, telephone and e-mail communication.
QHow many schools should I apply?
AMy clients apply from 7 to 8 schools on average. The thing to keep in mind is not to drop quality by increasing the number. In other words, it is better to prepare and apply to 5 schools properly than to rush and apply to 10 schools.
QHow can I distinguish myself from other applicants?
AOne thing I would like to tell you is not to try to be someone else. It is better to look at your own professional and private life from various angles in order to find interests, abilities, and ways of thinking that are different from others. In most cases, unique combinations of talent, experience, and personality can clearly express differences with others. It is an indispensable aspect of my counseling process to help clients express their uniqueness.
QAre there any advantages of starting counseling earlier?
AYes, of course. It is important to apply for as many schools as possible while maintaining high quality. If you start early, you can apply to more top schools in the crucial first and second rounds. Rather than packing everything in a few rushed weeks, it is better to start early and maintain a constant pace over several months. Waiting until the last minute will adversely affect both the quality and the number of applications.
Most successful clients have started essay counseling in July or earlier. You can submit applications to multiple schools and you do not have to fight to make it in time for the deadline. Clients who start early consistently produce the best results.
QCan I start MBA Essay Counseling before GMAT/GREL or TOEFL/IELTS scores reach acceptance levels?
AA. Yes, many of my clients start essay counseling while still preparing for tests. There is actually a synergy from doing essay counseling along with preparing for tests, especially in terms of speaking, listening and writing. Doing so efficiently is the key to achieve goals, and time management is very important.

AI have had many clients not based in Tokyo, including several who lived outside of Japan (Singapore, HK, Thailand, China, US, Mexico, etc.). Thanks to Skype and email it is very easy to communicate.

AWhile the majority of my clients are Japanese, I glad work with candidates from other countries. All of my counseling is provided in English, as it is the best way for my clients to prepare for overseas studies.
